Buying a new home is an exciting time, but it’s also an enormous financial responsibility. That’s why the Home Buyer’s Report is becoming one of our most frequently requested services.
The purpose of the valuation report is usually only to reassure your lenders that they could get their money back if you defaulted on your mortgage payments. For your own peace of mind and to help you plan any maintenance costs, the more detailed Home Buyer’s Report is certainly worth the extra investment.
This report is much more detailed than a valuation (but less robust than a full Building Survey) and will deal with matters judged to be urgent or significant like dry rot, structural movement or damp.
Unfortunately, some properties, like large or old buildings, are unsuitable for this outline survey. We will advise if this is the case as soon as possible.
